Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of technitint.com (the "Site") and the purchase of any products from us. In these Terms, "Techni Tint", "we", "us" and "our" means Techni Tint, ABN 21 243 375 106, trading as Techni Tint. "You" means the person accessing the Site or placing an order.

By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. About us and how to contact us

Techni Tint supplies chrome and aesthetic window films to customers in Australia. We supply film only. We do not install film and we are not a vehicle modification service.

Email: hello@technitint.com Registered address: Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to place an order. By ordering, you confirm you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

3. Products and product images

3.1 Colour and finish variation. Our films are reflective and colour-shifting by nature. Their appearance changes with lighting, viewing angle, glass tint, glass curvature and the surface beneath them. Photos, swatches, gallery images and any on-site visualiser or simulator are indicative only and are not a guarantee of the exact appearance on your vehicle or glass.

3.2 Screen variation. Colours may display differently depending on your device, screen calibration and settings.

3.3 Batch variation. Minor variation in shade, gloss and finish can occur between production batches. If colour consistency across multiple panels matters to you, order all film for that job in a single order. We cannot guarantee a match between separate orders.

3.4 Specifications. Where we publish technical specifications (such as thickness, VLT or adhesive type), those figures are supplied by the manufacturer and are subject to normal manufacturing tolerances. Any figures we publish will be sourced from manufacturer technical data sheets.

3.5 Availability. All products are subject to availability. We may add, change, withdraw or discontinue any product at any time without notice.

4. Legal compliance is your responsibility

Read this section carefully. It is important.

4.1 Window tinting is regulated in Australia by the Australian Design Rules and by separate road transport regulations in each State and Territory. Those rules limit both how dark a film may be (visible light transmission) and how reflective it may be. They differ depending on the window — windscreen, front side, rear side, rear windscreen — and they differ between States and Territories.

4.2 Many of our films, including our chrome and mirror-finish range, exceed the reflectivity limits permitted for use on public roads in most or all Australian jurisdictions. These products are sold for off-road, show, display, private property, commercial glazing, signage and creative applications.

4.3 You are solely responsible for determining whether a film is legal for your intended application in your State or Territory before you buy and before you install. We do not provide legal or compliance advice, and nothing on the Site, in our marketing, on social media or in correspondence with us should be treated as confirmation that a product is road legal.

4.4 We are not responsible for any defect notice, infringement notice, fine, rectification cost, failed roadworthy or safety inspection, deregistration, insurance claim refusal or other loss arising from film being applied in a way that does not comply with the law that applies to you.

4.5 You are also responsible for checking whether applying film affects any vehicle warranty, insurance policy, lease or finance agreement that applies to your vehicle.

5. Orders

5.1 Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation or dispatch confirmation. Automated acknowledgement of your order does not constitute acceptance.

5.2 We may decline or cancel an order for any reason, including where the product is unavailable, where there has been a pricing or description error, where we suspect fraud, or where we cannot verify your details. If we cancel an accepted order, we will refund you in full.

5.3 Measurements are your responsibility. Our Measurement Guide is provided as general guidance only. You are responsible for confirming the quantity and width you need before ordering. We do not accept returns for film ordered in the wrong length or width.

5.4 Cut-to-length film. Film is cut to order from bulk rolls. Once cut, it cannot be returned to stock. Please see clause 9.

5.5 We may limit or refuse quantities per person, per household or per order.

6. Pricing and payment

6.1 All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

6.2 Prices exclude shipping and handling unless expressly stated. Shipping charges are shown at checkout before you pay.

6.3 Prices may change at any time. The price that applies is the price shown at the time you place your order.

6.4 If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a technical or human error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after payment has been taken.

6.5 Payment is processed by third-party providers through Shopify. We do not store your full card details. Your use of those payment services is subject to the provider's own terms.

7. Shipping and delivery

7.1 We ship to addresses within Australia.

7.2 Dispatch and delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather, industrial action, customs or other events outside our reasonable control.

7.3 You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for orders delivered to an incorrect address supplied by you, and re-delivery may incur a further charge.

7.4 Risk in the products passes to you on delivery. Title passes to you once we have received payment in full.

7.5 If your order arrives damaged, contact us at hello@technitint.com within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the packaging and the product so we can assess it.

8. Your consumer rights under Australian Consumer Law

8.1 Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8.2 You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the products repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

8.3 These rights apply in addition to anything else in these Terms, and apply regardless of whether we offer a separate voluntary warranty.

8.4 No voluntary warranty. Beyond your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we do not offer a separate manufacturer's or performance warranty on our films (for example, against fade, colour change, delamination or adhesive failure over time). This does not limit your statutory rights under clause 8.1 to 8.3.

8.5 Our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee in respect of goods not ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, or paying the cost of doing so.

9. Returns, refunds and change of mind

9.1 Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. Where there is any inconsistency, the Refund Policy prevails in relation to returns.

9.2 Change of Mind. As our window films are sold by the metre and cut to your requested length, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for change of mind, incorrect selection, or ordering the wrong quantity. Once an order has been cut, it cannot be returned to saleable stock.

9.3 Installed film cannot be returned. Once film has been applied to glass it cannot be returned or refunded, other than where you have a right to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.

9.4 Installation faults are not product faults. Bubbling, creasing, lifting, contamination, scratching, stretching, shrinkage marks and edge peeling are commonly caused by installation technique, surface preparation or environment rather than by a defect in the film. We are not liable for installation results.

9.5 To start a return, contact hello@technitint.com before sending anything back. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

9.6 Where a return is approved because the product is faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will cover reasonable return shipping. For change-of-mind returns, return shipping is at your cost.

10. Installation

10.1 We do not install film.

10.2 We may refer you to third-party installers. Those installers are independent businesses. We do not employ, supervise, control or accept responsibility for them. Any agreement you make with an installer is between you and them.

10.3 Any installation instructions, tips or videos we publish are general information only. You install film at your own risk.

10.4 We are not liable for damage to glass, defoggers, rear demister lines, seals, trims, paint, electronics or any other part of a vehicle or building arising from installation or removal of our film.

You confirm you own the content or have permission to grant this licence. You can ask us to remove your content at any time by emailing hello@technitint.com.

The Site may link to or embed third-party websites, apps or tools. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. Any dealings with third parties are at your own risk.

15. Limitation of liability

15.1 Nothing in this clause limits your rights under clause 8 or the Australian Consumer Law.

15.2 Subject to clause 15.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:

(a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of use, loss of vehicle value, or business interruption arising from your use of the Site or our products; and

(b) our total aggregate liability to you in connection with any product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

15.3 The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

16. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify us against any claim, loss, damage, cost or penalty we incur arising from your breach of these Terms, your unlawful use of our products, or your failure to comply with any law regulating window film in your jurisdiction.

17. Privacy

We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at technitint.com/policies/privacy-policy, and with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. The version in force at the time you place an order applies to that order. Please check this page periodically.

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and Techni Tint submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the courts of appeal from them.

20. General

20.1 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision is severed and the remainder continues in force.

20.2 No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

20.3 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Site and your purchase of products.

20.4 Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may assign ours without notice.
