This is collected through cookies and similar technologies — see section 6.

1.5 Sensitive information. We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information) and ask that you do not send it to us.
2. Why we collect and use it
We use your personal information to:
- process, fulfil and dispatch your orders

We only use your information for the purposes set out above, for a directly related purpose you would reasonably expect, or where you have consented or the law requires it.
3. Who we disclose it to
We may disclose your personal information to:
- Shopify — our e-commerce platform, which hosts our website, processes orders, facilitates payments through Shopify Payments (where applicable), and provides related services.
- Payment providers — including Shopify Payments, PayPal, and any digital wallet providers available at checkout, to securely process your payment.
- Shipping and delivery providers — to fulfil and deliver your order. This may include Australia Post and other courier services used from time to time. They receive only the information necessary to complete delivery, such as your name, delivery address and contact details.
- Shopify services — including Shopify Email, Shopify Analytics, and other Shopify features we use to operate, improve and market our store.
- Professional advisers — such as accountants, auditors or legal advisers where necessary.
- Government authorities, regulators or law enforcement agencies — where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Overseas disclosure
4.1 Some of the providers listed above store or process data outside Australia. Based on our current providers, your information may be handled in Canada and the United States (Shopify), and in the United States and other countries where our analytics, advertising and email providers operate.
4.2 Before disclosing information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, generally through the provider's contractual terms.
4.3 By providing your information to us, you acknowledge that it may be stored or accessed overseas as described above.
5. Marketing and how to opt out
5.1 We will only send you marketing emails or SMS where you have subscribed, or where you have bought from us and would reasonably expect to hear from us about similar products.
5.2 Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and we comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@technitint.com.
5.3 Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed, such as order confirmations, dispatch notifications and delivery updates.
6. Cookies and tracking
6.1 We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and measure and target advertising.
6.2 Categories we use:
- Essential — required for the cart, checkout and account login to function. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — help us understand traffic and behaviour on the Site.
- Marketing — allow us and platforms like Meta and Google to show you relevant advertising and measure its performance.
6.3 You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, and through our cookie banner where one is displayed. Blocking essential cookies will stop checkout from working.
6.4 You can opt out of personalised advertising through your Google and Meta ad settings.
7. Security
7.1 We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The Site uses SSL encryption, and Shopify maintains PCI DSS compliance for payment processing.
7.2 No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you provide information to us at your own risk.
7.3 If we become aware of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. How long we keep it
8.1 We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
8.2 Transaction and tax records are generally retained for five years as required under Australian taxation law.
8.3 Marketing subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards to ensure we honour the unsubscribe.
8.4 When we no longer need your information and are not required to keep it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
9.1 You can request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct anything inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Email hello@technitint.com.
9.2 We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before releasing information.
9.3 There is normally no charge. If a request is complex or resource-intensive we may charge a reasonable fee and will tell you before proceeding.
9.4 In limited circumstances we may refuse access or correction — for example where the law requires or authorises us to. If we refuse, we will explain why in writing and tell you how to complain.
9.5 If you have a Shopify account with us, you can view and update much of your information by logging in.
10. Complaints
10.1 If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your information, email hello@technitint.com with details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days.
10.2 If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

11.2 If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or artificial intelligence to make decisions that significantly affect you. Where we use automated tools for fraud screening at checkout, those results are reviewed by a person before an order is declined.
13. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies before providing information to them.

We may update this policy from time to time by posting the revised version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Please check back periodically.
